Paul Layfield has practised in the area of corporate and commercial law since 1988. He advises on legal issues affecting the creation, operation, acquisition and disposition of businesses, including the tax implications related to business activities.
Paul’s commercial practice focuses on the areas of corporate matters, the purchase and sale of businesses, shareholder agreements, reorganization of businesses, corporate financing and insolvency matters.
He is a member of the Law Society of Upper Canada, the Essex Law Association and the Canadian Bar Association. He continues to maintain his professional engineering designation. Paul is a Sessional Instructor at the University of Windsor Law School having taught Business Associations in 2018 and 2019 and currently teaching Contracts to First Year Students and Contract Drafting to Upper Years Students.
