Rodney M. Godard, B.A., LL.B.

Rod has practised as a civil litigator since 1978 assisting his clients in resolving what often seem to be intractable disputes through negotiation or, if necessary, litigation. He has assisted his clients in resolving hundreds of these disputes. In doing so, he has gleaned extensive trial and appeal experience before the Superior Court of Justice and the Court of Appeal of Ontario in all manner of interpersonal and business-related disputes. Rod’s expertise includes all aspects of commercial and shareholder disputes, construction and building disputes, insolvency issues, insurance claims, and employment related matters.

His years of experience in trials, appeals and hearings before Administrative Tribunals is reflected in the number of reported decisions in cases in which he was counsel for one of the litigants. Rod is also a trained mediator and has been a regular presenter of advocacy and litigation related skills and a sessional lecturer in civil procedure and civil trial advocacy at the Faculty of Law, University of Windsor.
